There have been various facilities in Suma Seaside Park, which has a long history. The baseball field was one of them, and in 1956 (Showa 31) was built for the national polity. It is surprising that the baseball field was now a parking lot, but there were also national dormitory, pools, and beach houses. By the way, the Suma Aquarium, the predecessor of the Suma Seaside Aquarium, was born at the same time as the baseball field, and was crowded with many people.
