In 1913, a beach was opened on the Suma Beach for the first time on the Hyogo Electric Railway (the predecessor of the Sanyo Electric Railway). Since 1965, it has been popular with people as the only beach in Hanshin, and has been established as the most popular beach in Kansai, also known as "East Shonan, West Suma". In April 2019, we acquired the Beach international environmental certification "Blue Flag" for the first time in the Kansai region that meets standards such as water quality and safety management. It is also known as a beach resort that boasts blessed landscape and environmental resources, combined with the beauty of the naturally formed coastal terrain and the beauty of the sunset over Hachibushiyama.
